Mike has over twenty years of experience on both the buy side and sell side of the Fixed Income markets. Mike is the firm’s chief market strategist and is responsible for all portfolio structuring/maintenance. Prior to founding Power Asset Management in 2003, he was the Director of Fixed Income for Howard Capital Management and Fixed Income portfolio manager for RNC Genter in Los Angeles. The earlier part of his Fixed Income career was at Paine Webber in Los Angeles on the Fixed Income trading desk and Merrill Lynch in Boston as a financial consultant concentrating on Municipal Bond investing.

Mike earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees (MBA) from Boston College where he was the football team’s starting quarterback in the late 80’s. At the time his Boston College career ended, he was their 4th all-time leading passer.  He then went on to sign free agent contracts with the NFL’s Houston Oilers in 1992 and 1993. He remains active in football by coaching and mentoring youth quarterbacks in his passing camp First Round Quarterback School which he established in 1998.
